ICT skills for raising the quality of teaching in an international contextTo ensure the quality of the learning process as well as reduce social isolation in rural areas, providing skills to use modern World Wide Web possibilities and ICT, one of the main priorities of Tirza primary development plan is ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) usage. School management believes that digital literacy and the use of ICT in the learning process promotes quality of education. Practically all classrooms are equipped with computers and projectors, mathematics and science classrooms have multimedia equipment with interactive whiteboards. School has an access to the Internet.However, teachers are still not active enough in using these resources. Less than half of the teachers use multimedia devices in the teaching process. Only certain teachers organize the their work using the Internet on-line tools. Teachers have insufficient skills to make effective use of ICT, the lack of new, modern teaching methods is a problem as well. The opportunities for teachers to raise their professional competences are increasing not only in a local but also international level, to be able to use them, teachers need good communication and ICT skills.This aim of this project is to improve the quality of the learning process and provide better teaching in a European context, in accordance with modern ICT tools through international professionalization.Two teachers will be attending the training organization's International Agrupamento Escola de Emidio Navarro, Portugal courses Europeana SHARING VIEWS - Making sense of the world through multimedia and ICT and free Web Tools in Education: Another Way to Teach and Learn it. Preparation of participants prior to mobility, sharing the gained international experience with other teachers and using the gained experience in practice are also intended during the project.The development of ICT skills will be promoted among both educators and students. The quality of teaching will increase as a result of the project, the learning process will become more efficient, exciting to pupils, the cooperation of the teachers and students will improve, as it will be able to use new, unusual teaching methods in the learning process. The project will improve educator ICT skills. International cooperation between teachers will be encouraged in order to identify similarities and differences in schools and education systems, gain experience, as well as develop a holistic approach to learning within a European dimension. Language skills and intercultural dialogue will improve.
