IDIOMAS Y NUEVAS TECNOLOGÍAS EN LA ENSEÑANZA DE PERSONAS ADULTAS
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

An important part of the students at Colmenar Viejo Adult Education School are lower qualified persons, early school-leavers, young people with poor school performance or immigrants. One of our aims is promoting equity and inclusion and the reduction in the number of people in the risk of social exclusion. In order to help our students be better equipped for the labour market we consider the following as priorities: the creation of life-long learning strategies as well as the achievement of the competences of learning to learn, linguistic competence in foreign languages and digital competence. In order to achieve these goals we think our institution needs: - a new modernised environment in terms of methods of teaching and learning as well as an improvement in its international dimension -our teachers need to be able to use new teaching methods and achieve a high level of digital competence -our students need to be linguistically and digitally competent. It would be necessary that one teacher of our staff took part in a course on technology assisted language learning in an English speaking country . The selection process will be carried out under public criteria and in a fair and transparent way. We believe that this training and the later disemination of the acquired competences will contribute to the modernization and internationalization of the institution as well as the improvement of the digital competences of the staff and the lingüistic and digital competence of the students. The project and its outcomes will be assessed by different tools and diseminated by the creation of a blog and a video about the project. This project is part of a long-term aim which is that our students become more motivatred for their future formal and informal training and the increase in the chances of empleability.
