Identifying and validating the competencies of European officials – a road to a joint training

The project aims at “Identifying and validating the competencies of European officials” to improve their skills working within various cultural backgrounds in dealing with other member states. The project wants also to strengthen the professional competencies of European officials by detecting already acquired competencies through in/nonformal learning will be developed and experimented by the partner countries. Therefore a system to detect these competences will be elaborated within the project. A training prototype, based on an accurate needs analysis will be experimented by the partner countries. First there will be research done about the needed competencies and about validation of already informally acquired ones. Second the elaboration of five training modules, covering all in all approximately 40 hours will follow. The work will done primarily in Italian, English and French with some results also in Portuguese, Czech and Italian available; The Valorisation process shall start from the beginning fe. By including responsible from other public administrations into the planned seminars as well as potential users, or by using a “snow ball approach” for the training of course trainers.
