When the House of the historical and cultural heritage and the Ethno house start function as cultural centers there will be provided qualitative conditions for promotion of ethnographic peculiarities in the region. The border area between Rila and Kocani has a rich history and culture, which gives opportunities for development of new forms of tourism and increase of the attractiveness of the area. In this context, the project objective is to contribute to the better understanding of the similarities and differences in both cultures and thus to give people the chance to feel the common cultural heritage. Thus the results from already reazlized joint tourism projects will be multiplied, which will create premises for further joinf initiatives. The collection of all the ethnographic studies and collections in the cultural centers will help the creation of a new tourist destination in the CB region and the imposition of a new cultural product in the tourist market in both countries. Achievements: 1. Created House of the cultural and historical heritage of Rila and Kocani as a place for exhibition and presentation of the common history in Municipality of Rila;2. Created Ethno house in Municipality of Kocani as a place, where can be presented authentic crafts, character for the region, among which: embroidery, knitting, weaving, production of souvenirs. The Ethno house functions as a museum of ethnographic collections, a school for authentic crafts and halls for workshops and it is the best way for preservation and presentation of the culture in the region;3. Organized and carried out joint forums and exhibition, connected with the presentation of the cultural and historical heritage in the cross-border region Rila-Kocani. One-day forum "Identical in cultural differences" was organized in the town of Kochani on 12.11.2012. A joint exhibition on the topic "The ethnography in the cross-border region" was organized in the town of Rila on 14.11.2012;4. Increased awareness of the people through realization of the following activities and measures: Organization of an initial pres-conference in Rila; 1 forum in the town of Kochani organized; 1 exhibition and 1 final pres-conference in the town of Rila organized; filming the cultural heritage of the CB region; trilingual catalogue elaborated; informational boards installed.
