The General Ecclesiastical School of Lamia is a special school in existence since 1918 and has offered a lot in education , the Church and the community.Our school tries to be modernized and to embrace new technologies. In particular there is a lack in the creation of an e-learning platform and making conference calls.The new methods and new teaching tools are areas that will help the school to take a step into the 21st century and to further improve its image. The advantages of our school are the small groups and almost personalized teaching. It is also a daily concern of teachers of our school to grow , with modern teaching methods , the inclination of students for learning. The staff of the General Ecclesiastical Lyceum - Gymnasium of Lamia is fully trained as are university graduates with extensive experience in Secondary Education . Most of them hold postgraduate degrees and master at least one foreign language at level B2 . The activity that we performed was the training of the staff of our institution in Prague in the project "ICT in Education Course" of International Training Center (ITC) for 3 days . Participated 3 teachers of our school, of different specialties (theologist, philologist, chemist) who trained on new technologies so they integrate them in their daily lives. The objectives of mobility were: a. the professional development and teacher training on digital literacy, use of technologies in education , integration of the European dimension in the curriculum , use modern teaching approaches using TPE.digital literacy and culture of digital educational skills and students . b. the approach, familiarity and application of modern educational and teaching methods mainly by the use of new technologies by teachers and students / behavior shows. c. the development of language skills international language teachers and students / three d. the approach of European principles and values of teachers and students / behavior shows in the light of the educational approach and diffusion in the classroom e. the presentation of incentives for creative thinking through ICT for teachers and students f. providing TEACHERS with resources and tools that will increase the content of the conference call g. the integration of technologies into existing courses. Trainees received a questionnaire before their departure , which provided information on their educational background, qualifications and previous experience with e-learning.In addition, they attended english language and computer courses from colleagues. This course was structured into 8 different training modules, according to the original plan, each of which covered a different aspect of using e-learning in either a traditional classroom or an online setting, while the last lesson was assessment of the program by trainers and trainees , awarding diplomas and commemorative photos . Moreover , the list of participants was created to exchange views and experiences. They practiced the necessary skills in order to be able to effectively use their own e-learning systems with their own students. The dissemination of information about what participants learned was by diffusion material information and discussion in the Association of School teachers and also by placing soft and hard copies of courses to fellow teachers. Posted Press Release to local media in order to inform the local community , school community, Ministry of Education, the Directorate of Secondary Education , the ecclesiastical schools etc. Followed by piloting some lessons in the classroom using the tools given to us . Also created by the participants, a website published on the site of our school . The purpose of the website is to present the experience and knowledge gained from the training .
