ICHNOS - Innovation and CHange: Network of One-stop Shops (ICHNOS)
Start date: Feb 28, 2005, End date: Apr 29, 2007 PROJECT  FINISHED

The one-stop shop tool is a decisive factor in the development of the local economy since it helps simplify the administrative procedures required to establish the production initiative. Moreover, the one-stop shop provides all the information required to identify financial matters and regulations, and which areas have been equipped to carry out production activity. Unfortunately, the one-stop shop has not succeeded in fulfilling its function in certain regions. The reason for this failure could be due to organisational problems and a lack of support for one-stop shops operators. Overall objective / Objectif général The general objective of the operation is to define a model for the Regional Centre of Competence in support of one-stop shop activities. The model will be verified by the implementation of an initial group of functions. The fact that Vysocina is participating in the project will allow the definition of measures that will enable the system to be adopted by other new Member States. Expected results / Résultats attendus During the initial phase, the project will produce a series of reports containing an analysis of the economic, social and legal conditions of partner countries and of critical aspects related to the role and functions of one-stop shops. The reports will form the basis of a white paper containing the description of the model for the proposed regional centre of competence. During the following phase, a demonstrative centre of competence will be established. This will have an initial group of functions which will be used to demonstrate the real benefits of the project. Stakeholder involvement throughout the project will ensure that the model is shared, and should allow us to define measures to undertake the project in addition to supporting the centres.
