The project aims at flood threat and disaster prevention, joint action on disaster recovery and damage control on the Hungarian-Ukrainian border. The aim of the cross border co-operation coordinated by the municipality of Uszka is the realization of a pilot project, which focuses on the development of a complex, innovative, local level disaster recovery logistics system on the most endangered segment of the Hungarian-Ukrainian border. Expected Results: The estimated results include: Flood, internal water, storm damages and other environmental dangers can be more effective forecasted; Joint reaction results in flood disaster prevention; More effective handling of emergency situations, faster response; Faster, more effective and professional damage control and recovery in case of emergency situations; Elevated participation of local citizens in prevention and recovery, due to well-aimed campaign.
