The project is drawing on the long horse-breading tradition of the cross-border region to establish closer relationship between the horse-breading and various equestrian associations from the two sides of the border region. Within the project several endurance tournaments will be organised with other accompanying activities serving to strengthen the equestrian tourism potential of the region. Achievements: Building on the long tradition of horse breeding in the area, the project partners were also in this project aiming at establishing relationships among the equestrian sport organisations of both sides. In order to promote the sport a joint cross-border championship was organised in Pitomača and in Orfű, involving many international participants. The activities also included thematic workshops for sport events organisers and for veterinarians and referees, as well as informal meetings of horse breeders, trainers and keepers.
