How much or little we understand each other -15 years in life of two close nations

The present generation of Czech and Slovak children understand mother tongue of the bordering country with problems. We decided to devote to this project because of our nations lived in a common state for a lot of years. We monitored similar and different traditions, Czech and Slovak language, legends of both nations and increasing language skills in the teaching language of collaborating schools and in English too. English was the language of communication, because our states are the members of EU. We wanted to increase skills which can help the pupils in their future and personal life. The constituent of this project is how the nation is seen by the citizens of the partnership schools´ town. It is connected with a multicultural upbringing. The information about the nation was evaluated. The first year we monitored and compared traditions, customs, the teaching languages partnership schools. The trilingual book was the main output of the first year. It was written by the pupils of the partnership schools. The script was based on the mentioned above. The story was dramatised, the pupils made costumes, the scenery, they studied the performance, which was played on a project meeting in Bystrice nad Pernstejnem. The pupils spoke English, Czech and Slovak.
