How e-mazing is your organization?
Start date: Jan 1, 2016, End date: Sep 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The international activity "How e-mazing is your organization?" will be organized in the Naturefriendshouse De Berk in Belgium 3-8 May 2016. The activity will combine networking elements (focused on good practice sharing), capacity building sessions (that will provide space to gain fundamental knowledge about e-participation and e-volunteering in particular) and reflection sessions (to analyse own situation and actions). The activity will gather 30 youth workers, young leaders and volunteers active in youth work who can multiply the results of their participation. In order to achieve the most from the practice sharing sessions, which will build an important part of this activity, we aim to invite a diverse but at the same time balanced group composed by participants with previous experience with organization of e-participation projects, people with some e-participation experience and few newcomers with limited experience but high motivation to get involved. High interest in e-participation topics will be common for all of them. The objectives of the project, that will help the IYNF network to achieve higher aims related to e-participations during 2016 are:• to explore existing resources and share good practices (projects and publications from other organizations and IYNF local and national groups)• to increase awareness about the importance and opportunities of e-participation and provide good introduction to the topic• to discuss the limits of e-participation and to define what is the „online identity“ of a Naturefriend / young environmentalist / young European• to introduce the concept of e-volunteering and IYNF recent experience with itThese objectives were defined based on the analysis of the current needs of the participating organizations and the international branch, which are:• better tools to increase long-term involvement of volunteers• efficient online interaction and cooperation among the partners, supporters, young people and their peers• efficient online visibility and reach out to the desired target groupsThe programme will be based on non-formal education methods and active involvement of participants – two facilitators will be hired and they will help us select the most effective methods in order to achieve the stated objectives. The inspirational and creative environment that will be established will significantly support the achievement of the objectives too.The participating organizations will gain new expertise in the field of e-participation and thanks to the project they will be empowered to apply positive changes in their organizational structures. Especially the e-volunteering concept should be an enrichment for the participating organizations and they should gain a higher level of involvement of people in a long-term perspective. The project will offer them motivational examples and give them tools how to improve their own organization and strategic planning. As a result they should be able to improve their online visibility and capacity to attract the desired target group, enlarge the number of volunteers and improve the communication with important people from their organization, who can't necessarily be always physicaly present.
