The project titled "Hotel: Vocational Training at European Standards" addresses a group of 28 tenth-grade students from Colegiul Economic "Emanuil Gojdu" Hunedoara, in the field of tourism. The project aims to increase practical skills for those 28 students, by carrying out practical training in Italy on two flows.The option for students' practical training abroad is due to the fact that there is a small number of hotels in our locality which can and want to develop cooperation with educational institutions, in the field of tourism. Our choice for Italy is due to the country's reputation in the field of tourism, in order to have direct access to examples of good practice in tourism. Practical training will take place abroad, in two flows: Flow 1 at the end of the school year 2016-2017, for a period of 2 weeks, from June 12, 2017 to June 25, 2017; Flow 2 at the end of the school year 2017-2018, for a period of 2 weeks, from June 11,2018 until June 24, 2018, in hotels from Bologna with which YouNet has practical-training contracts.The project objectives are in accordance with the specific objectives set out in the Erasmus+ Programme Guide, as well as acquiring competencies in order to improve personal development and employability in the European labour market.Overall goal: improving, during the twelve months of the project, the practical skills of 28 tenth-grade students that are in the period of initial training in the basic training field of Tourism and Catering – Intensive English at Colegiul Economic “Emanuil Gojdu” Hunedoara.Specific objectives:1. Developing practical skills in the field of hotel industry; 2. Increasing vocational competitiveness in the field of hotel industry; 3. Valorization of networking; 4. Acquiring linguistic competence of Italian at a minimum A2 level of reading and speaking; 5. Improving English language skills at a minimum B1 level of reading and speaking, for a number of 28 tenth-grade students that are in the period of initial training in the basic training field of Tourism and Catering – Intensive English, at Colegiul Economic “Emanuil Gojdu” Hunedoara, by carrying out practical training in hotels from Bologna with which YouNet has practical-training contracts, during 2016-2018.Project activities are specific to the Erasmus+ projects. Among these activities we mention the activities of information and selection, training of participants, activities during the placement, monitoring and evaluation activities, dissemination activities.Risk management will be developed by the project team since the beginning stage of the project. As preventive measures, it will monitor and evaluate project activities permanently, it will inform in writing the National Agency for situations that would disrupt the smooth implementation of the project, and it will take measures to fix it.This project aims at obtaining the following results:-improving the European image of the school, as an institution of vocational and technical education;-increasing the visibility of the school in the local and regional community-improving communication capabilities-enhancing career development capabilities-specialized technical competencies improved in the field of hotel industry-enhancing linguistic competencies.After signing the Memorandum of understanding participants will not have just the recognition of their practical training by the Sending Organization, on receiving a mark, and the Europass mobility certificate (with the skills and abilities acquired), but, moreover, it can also be a recognition in the European system, of units of competency for which they obtained the number of transferable credits (ECVET). In addition, the content of the training activity abroad will make students to reflect carefully upon their status of persons that are in transition from school to life.The sending organization, Colegiul Economic "Emanuil Gojdu" Hunedoara, will promote quality in education by building on the experience gained by the participants, will develop new partnerships and cooperation in Europe, will become more attractive for pupils, parents and the local community. From the perspective of the gained value, the transnational dimension of the project is provided through granting of ECVET credits which can be used at the EU level.
