Hotelarz na europejskim rynku pracy - startem w życie zawodowe
Start date: Dec 1, 2016, End date: Nov 30, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

Project Erasmus+ is directed to students from Agricultural School Complex in Sokółka and students from Agrotechnic School Complex in Mińsk Mazowiecki, who specializes in hotel trade. All those students will undergo apprenticeship in Greece. 32 students were selected to take part in the project and they will be divided into 2 groups (16 persons per each). Students come from small towns in the neighbourhood of agglomerations, where the schools are located. The common feature for students from above-mentioned schools is that they have a limited access to high-level education and they were brought up in poor families which cannot afford to send the children abroad to undergo the apprenticeship. This project is an excellent opportunity for students from small towns and it's aim is to guarantee students a possibility to undergo the apprenticeship in high-class hotels in Greece, what will be proved by international certificates. Students will gain valuable experience in hotel trade in professional hotels. The participants will acquaint with effective methods used abroad, what will boost their competence and skills and in consequence, will improve their attractiveness not only on Polish, but also on the international labor market. The acquaintance with working conditions abroad, including the rights and obligations of the empolyee and working methods practised in Greece, may also prove useful. Taking part in the project will also enable the participants to make progress in speaking English fluently, what will not only have a positive impact on their image as an employee, but will also encourage to foreign travels in educational, scientific or earning purposes. A foreign journey like this also results in the change of the attitude - students become more outgoung, open-minded, comprehensible and tolerant. In addition, the travel helps to develop such feelings as self-esteem, responsibility and develops the ability to work in team. All those abilities are appreciated by hoteliers all over the world. Furthermore, D&G Events as an institution organising the apprenticeship in Greece, will also benefit from the project, since it will be possible for the institution to make use of the gained experience on international conferences and meetings. D&G Events will also have an opportunity to share good practices and experience with other international institutions which specializes in vocational education.
