HOME. Hands-on for Mobility and Employment. Euromediterranean Youth Exchange
Start date: May 10, 2012,

El proyecto HOME (Hands-on for Mobility and Employment). The HOME (Hands-on for Mobility and Employment) Euro-Mediterranean Youth Exchange project will take place in Seville, Spain, in July 2012, so that young people can attend after the end of the school year. The countries invited to take part in this gathering are Spain, Poland, Turkey, Croatia, Israel, Egypt and the Palestinian Authority of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, the aim being to ensure the presence of European countries, candidate countries for European Union membership and associated Mediterranean countries. The young people will be together for six days of scheduled activities during which they will gain a better understanding of their similarities and differences, respective countries and associated circumstances. Special attention will be given to issues such as the search for employment, mobility in foreign countries, creating companies, tools offered by the European Union in these and other sectors, the image that each has of the other through the news media, current topics such as the Arab spring and the 15-M movement as well as the most common leisure activities among these youths. Practical and pleasant exercises are planned, meant to familiarize us with real situations and to instil hope, enthusiasm and a willingness to get to know and learn more about the other, given that such informal learning processes, hard to acquire in an ordered environment, are the pathway towards better understanding of how to achieve peace and respect.
