Start date: Jun 1, 2015,

The project "HLW- Landwied goes Europe" is a project of a vocational school with higher education which is performed for the first time.
In 5-years of education students don`t just get a profound education in general knowledge and economics they also get educated in hotel industry and gastronomy.
Between the 3rd and 4th year of education in this kind of school students have to participate at a compulsory internship for 12 weeks in a company of economics, management, tourism or nutrition at home or abroad.
This project should encourage students to do their internship abroad to improve their technical skills, the language and social skills.
With the financial support by participating in this project, students from socially disadvantaged families are given the opportunity to do an internship abroad.
Students will be informed at the beginning of the 3rd year in our school about the internship and the possibility to complete this abroad. They are asked to find the companies with the support of the school and to sign up in an application form.
Then the contact with the companies is made by the project coordinator from school by informing them about participation in the project and the approach.
A contract and a learning agreement will be signed of all partners.
After completion the internship the results are evaluated (work diary, evaluation sheet, feedback paper, work certificate).
Seven students participate as part of the completion of the compulsory internship in this project.
The language skills of the students correspond according to the European Reference Frame: English B 1 and Italian A2. Mother tongue is German.
All participants have specific professional expertise that enables them to be integrated into all areas of operation after an introductory period.
After the time abroad young people should be made aware of the career opportunities abroad after finishing school. Furthermore their language skills will be explored and the social and intercultural skills are expanded.
They should receive the best education which is possible to prevent unemployment.
