Vanakam Children NPO promotes the concept of a supporting partnership with selected foreign organizations. A closepersonal involvement is central in our activities, through which the autonomy and dignity of our local partners remainsecured. We attach great importance to a direct and personal dialogue with local stakeholders, regarding their values,goals and methods as starting point.One of our partners is Blessing Kids, located in Cuddalore, India. They give a voice to the most vulnerable in Indiansociety. Their activities focus mainly on gender equality and health issues. Volunteers can offer a valuable contributionby participating in two sorts of activities. The first is an intense structural participation, in which the volunteer activelyworks out a strategic plan for the HIV/AIDS policy together with Blessing Kids. A second activity consists of day-to-dayorganising of education for Dalit children. Volunteers will work in an evening school for these socially vulnerablechildren and will provide both educational and enjoyable activities.We require 4 volunteers who will work in the project for a minimum of two months. These volunteers will be spread outover a period of 1 year.
