Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: Sep 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Project context and history: The International Departement is made up of 3 members: the manager, a person in charge of the incoming students, another person in charge of outgoing students. There is also a support staff member for teaching staff mobility as well as a colleauge validating the intenational activites of students (internships and academic exchanges). The objectives: Each student at ISC Paris must validate an experience abroad during their studies. In consequence, the International Departement encourages, incites, and accompanies students, facultymembers and professional staff in their choice of international project in a partner institution. The number and type/profile of the students: Each student is given support on their choice of institution based on their linguistic and academic level to ensure the best match possible. The following ways students can carry out an expericen abroad (in order of importance) are as follows: academic exchange for one or two semesters: internship abroad, teaching and staff mobility. Description of activities carried out: The students on academic exchange join a programme offered by the partner institution and validated by ISC Paris. The partner course content is checked to make sure it meets our own requirements and is line with the students cours of study. Each year we ask question our faculty members and those of our partner institutions in order to determine the possible areas of exchange as well as favourite teaching mobility. Achieved results and impact: We have noticed a drop in applications which we put down to a difficult economic context. The Erasmus+ programme has enabled more than sixty studnets to study at a partner institution, twenty-two on an internship abroad and one faculty the opportunity immersion in an institution abroad. Longterm benefits: Today our policy concerning institutional agreements is more qualitative than quantitative. This is the reason why we put an an to some contracts which no longer meet our qualitative requirements. The participation for teaching mobility is essential for the qualitative development of our exchanges in terms of research, international conferences, co-publication and teaching exchanges. Exchange students allow ISC Paris better visibility internationally and help our relationships last. This also allows us to internationalise the student body on campus.
