Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: Sep 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

We're aiming at developing mobility for our students and opening them up internationally in the framework of our Advanced Technician in International Trade twoyear course. The threemonth internship abroad not only helps them get some professional skills but increases their linguistic and intercultural skills as well. This past year 2015-2016, six of our students financed their work placement in 4 European countries thanks to the Erasmus program they benefited from. This number is lower than in 2014-2015, because the size of our training was temporarily lower. Teachers trained again the students, helped them select host companies, guided them or tutored them during their internship and assessed the acquired skills. Thanks to those work placements, our students acquired some skills in business development and followup of customers, they also got to discover the world of work and learned how to communicate in an intercultural context. Our involvement in the Erasmus program reinforces the quality of our training and makes it a lot more attractive. Offering a work experience abroad in a European country with adequate support acts as a magnet to flexible and willpowered students. This project makes it possible for students to go abroad in good material conditions for a significant amount of time, thanks to an appropriate financial support. It contributes to strengthening both our ties with companies and the employability of our students.
