Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: Sep 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

In the academic year 2015/2016, the implementation of the Erasmus+ objectives by Hipolit Cegielski State College of Higher Education in Gniezno was as follows: - re. the SMP category, 2 students participated in the program. One student completed his work placement as part of the POWER programme at a partner institution of Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences in Germany. The other student completed her nursing traineeship at a partner institution of Escola Superior de Enfermagem de Coimbra in Portugal. Both stays were successful. The students expressed positive opinions regarding their traineeships. The receiving institutions found the students to be highly committed and conscientious in the performance of tasks which were assigned to them; - re. the STA category, one member of teaching staff participated in the programme. He carried out a series of lectures in English to students of Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences in Germany. The visit paid to the partner university in Germany was part of regular efforts to maintain contact with the German university, which gives tangible results, e.g. POWER student’s work placement at Ostfalia, German group of 11 students’ visit to Poland in September 2016, planned return visit of Polish students to Germany in 2017); - re. the STT category, two academic teachers participated in the program. They took part in an English language course in Spain. All the completed mobilities have brought benefits to all people participating in them and contributed to the consolidation of relations with partner universities. Assumptions regarding the recognition of completed mobilities and referred to in the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education have been fully realized. The problem which our college had to face was a late withdrawal of 3 students from taking part in the student mobility for placements in Portugal and Malta (after the fulfillment of all formalities and full commitment of our college employees as well as receiving organizations to prepare and organize the stays). Two female students quoted financial problem as the reason for their resignation. One student resigned due to lack of obtaining credit in a subject studied as part of another field of study.
