Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: Sep 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

AXE SUD is a school of graphic arts and visual communication created in 1989 in Marseille, and settled in Toulouse in 2004. The degree of “Concepteur Designer Graphique” provided by a 4 year-training is recognised by the French state, it is registered in the RNCP [French Register of Professional Certifications] and recognised level II. Thanks to its always growing renown, the School hosts students coming from every region in France and abroad. Both its founders and professors are currently professionals in the field who transfer to students the main principles as well as their own experience in the area. They are curious to know about foreign systems; some of them have already left to learn and share their teaching methods with some partner schools. The School’s direction and the professors establish the bounds between the school and the outside world in order to include innovative methods in their way of teaching. These ones being based on the exchange between different establishments and dealing with issues directly related to the professional world. The teaching flexibility is favoured by the School’s private status whose teaching contents have been recognised by the RNCP. Former students who left to study abroad contribute to develop the network. The multilateral cooperation between different higher education establishments is efficient since, apart from the Erasmus programme and Erasmus+, AXE SUD takes part in the EduArt international network. This one gathers French establishments proposing to both French and foreign students some university trainings in the artistic field. This network is supported by the Ministries of Education, Foreign Affairs and Culture. Due to the fact that former participants in the ERASMUS programme for newcomers and leaving students, trainees and teachers or conventional ones are unanimous: in few words, it is a recommended, positive and enriching experience, our school has got involved in the development of a European network of partnership since 2008. It became determined to intensify these ties and its aim is to sign one agreement per year: the latest being signed in May 2016. Last year, two of our students had the opportunity to perform a mobility, abroad; one in order to study in Spain and the other one as trainee in Germany. These experiences have been enriching both for our students and for the hosting establishments. These international mobilities have helped our students to consolidate both their self-confidence through the accomplishment of an international project as well as to ensure their skills in foreign languages previously acquired. They have also bolstered the general knowledge already got during their stay in our school. It was such a rewarding experience, for all, on the one hand, the hosting German company proposed to continue to work with our student after obtaining her diploma; on the other hand, regarding the partnership signed with some Spanish higher education establishments, the already performed mobility aroused other students from the foreign school to come over and perform an experience within our School.
