Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: Sep 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The BTS Commerce International course has existed for more than 20 years at Lycée Xavier Marmier. Traineeship mobility is integrated in the course as an internship in a foreign company is mandatory at the end of the first year. Lycée Xavier Marmier has been a member of the NETINVET network since 2008, consequently partnerships with European educational institutions offering courses similar to the BTS CI have been developed. The aim is to implement traineeship (VET) mobility and to set up learning mobility with European schools( one project is currently being built up with the Spanish high school IES Jaume Mimo, Cerdanyola del Valès). The aim is to make traineeship mobility easier and to develop students’ learning mobility. The participants are students (24 maximum), post-secondary education, aged 18 to 22, open-minded and willing to train abroad. Activities : traineeship mobility: students put into practice their knowledge of customer prospection and follow-up, validated by 4 ECTS. Learning mobility: the project is for students to study part of the curriculum in a partner school and validate it with 1 or 2 ECTS. Benefits: the students’ level and proficiency in foreign languages are greatly improved. They validate 4 ECTS, gain maturity and autonomy and realize the relevance of their choice of a career (or not). Long-term benefits: the students become more tolerant and get a better vision of their future jobs.
