Sidoine Apollinaire High School offers a range of 8 different BTS (2-year Technical Degrees) including the BTS Personal Assistant (BTS AM). The formal education reference related to this diploma focuses on going international and learning foreign languages. That's why the students have to go on a 9-week work placement abroad or in a big global firm as a compulsory part of their course. Among the group of students concerned, ten have benefited of Erasmus scholarships to go to Great Britain, Spain, Malta and Turkey. These students made their work placements at very diverse places like hotels, travel agency, camping, school, youth hostels and so on. They were given secretarial and welcoming tasks in accordance with the formal education reference. Since their return, we have noticed that the students are more self-confident and are more open to others. This work placement abroad has been for them a positive experience that has allowed them to develop their ability to adapt and to communicate. They have expressed their desire to repeat the experience in a different context.
