Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: Sep 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

As stipulated in its Erasmus Policy Statement, Erasmus mobility for students, faculty and administrative staff is central to ESSCA’s internationalization strategy. Out of a network of 195 partners across the world, 35 % of the contracts are Erasmus, all including, with the exception of one, student mobility and the majority of the others offering the possibility for teaching and administrative staff exchanges also. Student mobility takes place mostly at undergraduate level as an international semester is mandatory at this stage, but also at graduate level where figures, it is hoped, will increase in the future. As shown in the details of this report, 154 students benefited from the Erasmus programme with a high level of satisfaction overall for outgoing and incoming. The feedback from colleagues for the 6 funded mobilities (5 teachers + 1 administrative staff) was also very positive. The analysis of the competences acquired is positive to very positive in all cases. In the case of returning administrative staff, both formal and informal reports on the experience have been such that more colleagues are keen to participate in the future. The main benefits are seen to be developing contacts in partner institutions working in the same fields and being able to benchmark internationally, important both for the individuals and the institution.
