Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: Sep 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The Ecole supérieure des beaux-arts TALM has developed for a few years its partnerships under the Erasmus/Erasmus+ programme. TALM’s objectives in the frame of its participation to the Erasmus+ programme have been the following ones for 2015-2016 : - Increase the number of student and teacher/staff mobilities - Improve the exchange of information with students through regular meetings with them in small groups - Think about how to encourage students to come to TALM for a study period, in particular by using new ways to communicate towards the partner schools, for a better attractiveness of TALM - Increase the quality of mobilities, especially by improving the way of assisting beneficiaries on educational, linguistic, administrative and practical ways - Benefit from the Erasmus mobilities to develop artistic projects through networks with other European institutions in shared disciplines - Benefit from the mobilities to confront our pedagogy, administration and organisation with the partners’ in order to modernize our own working system. In 2015-2016, the following Erasmus mobilities were made : 17 outgoing students (2 more than 2014-2015) : 10 study periods and 7 internships. These are students from the 3 campuses of TALM, mainly in their 4th year. The study periods have lasted one semester and the average lenght of traineeships was a bit more than 3,5 months. 7 outgoing teacher/staff mobilities : 1 more mobility than 2014-2015 (in the previous years, the average number was 3 each year) : 5 teaching mobilities and 2 training mobilities. Two teachers in the art option and two technical staff members were concerned. Regarding the incoming students, to our deep regret, no Erasmus student came for a study period in our school for 2015-2016; on the contrary some students were welcomed for international/outside Erasmus study periods. (In 2016-2017, we currently have 3 Erasmus students this 1st semester, and one student is already enrolled for an Erasmus study period for the second semester.) 7 teachers and staff members have been welcomed inside TALM for Erasmus mobilities : - 3 in the frame of teaching mobilities - 4 people at the same time in May 2016, for training mobilities or mobilities in the frame of organisational support (3 Erasmus officers and 1 teacher). The results and impacts achieved have been the following ones : - For outgoing students : development of their artistic and research practices and immersion into a very rich linguistic and intercultural context, acquisition of key competences for their employment integration - For outgoing staff : added-value at work thanks to the comparison of their skills and know how with their counterparts in partner schools On the long run, the possible benefits for TALM through mobility activities and Erasmus cooperations are as follow : - Thanks to our teachers’ role of “ambassadors” in the enhancement of cooperations with some targeted partner schools, possibility to think about setting up future joint projects, on a punctual way (few days workshops) or on more sustainable projects : around networks (in particular in the fields of ceramics and textile) and on the long run, around the sculpture territories for instance, and around joint double diploma and post diploma - Improvement of the professional insertion for the students having benefited from an Erasmus mobility (possibility to « follow » them thanks to the surveys of professional insertion made by TALM with the former students).
