Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: Sep 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Our project fits into the framework of student, teacher and staff mobility of the Erasmus + program. For several years, our institution's policy has aimed at encouraging the international mobility of students because we believe that the labour market has no border. 46 of our students went abroad for a study semester during their 4th year in a European university partner, where they had to take their exams. This experience allows them to acquire new competencies, to deepen their knowledge, to learn technical vocabulary in another language, to discover different methods of work and to evolve in an intercultural environment. It is a real springboard for their career. When they return, we expect them to write an intercultural report and to present their experience to the 2nd and 3rd year students. this has an impact on the constant growth of the Erasmus outgoing students flow (35 in 2014-2015 and 46 in 2015-2016, and 55 planned in 2016-2017).We wish also to reinforce our cooperation with our partners through the development of double degree programmes. We also promote teachers and staff mobility, which is included in our human resources' policy. During their annual performance review, employees are asked to express their wishes about international mobility and to give a feedback on their experience. So, 4 staff members and teachers had an international mobility to England and the Netherlands. On the other hand, we also receive teachers and staff members from European partner universities. Our goal is to open our collaborators to other perspectives, to build closer links with our partners and to think about new ways of collaboration. We also increase our efforts towards creating links with companies. The outcome and the results are very positive because the international mobility has become a full part of our curricula : - 12 weeks of international experience are compulsory to obtain our engineers degree - the creation of an international module has deepened the stakes of mobility, - the creation of an international semester taught in English has improved our attractivity towards our partners and fostered the mixity with our students.
