Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: Sep 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Our school has been involved in numerous international projects for quite a long time now: - Partnerships with schools in Harrogate ( England), Gaggenau ( Germany) , La Corogne ( Spain). - Various Comenius projects since 1995 - Work-placements abroad, since 1990 for our students studying International Trade and since 2010 for our future Personal Assistants. Half our students on average do their training in a European country thanks to an Erasmus scholarship. This foreign work-placement is a compulsory part of their course as they have to master the professional and technical language used in their future jobs. This year, 29 out of our 51 students chose to go to a European country and 21 of them were able to benefit from an Erasmus scholarship. Those studying International Trade had to carry out prospection tasks and to work on intercultural issues on which they will be examined for their final exams. The Personal Assistants were able to work in small and medium sized companies and could enter different situations of communication and put in practice what they had learned in the field of organizing administrative activities. Charrity shop and charrity organisation appreciate their profesional abilities. These foreign placements have enabled them to discover new and different professional techniques as well as to improve their command of the foreign language particularly as far as the professional vocabulary is concerned. In the end the students have not only improved their knowledge but have also become more open-minded and more adaptable which may enable them to work and live abroad in the future.
