Higher education student and staff mobility project

Our school uses the Erasmus+ programme for sending its students to traineeships, SMT, and It is mainly because the part of the curriculum is the three-month vocational traineeship in the third grade of the study. After successful passing the traineeship the student obtains 25 credits. The aim of taking the traineeships in foreign companies is the enrichment of student´s professional career and enlarging the range of his skills, improving his language skills, support of self-independence and orientation of multicultural dealing and possibility of a potentional occupation in the company. Currently the number of outgoing students is between 2 and 6 a year. The number depends on the number of work places which our school is able to provide. The applicants are usually chosen according to their study results. The traineeships take place in Great Britain, Slovakia, Germany and Austria. The range of students´ work during their traineeship is wide. It usually starts with meeting the everyday running of the company, then learning to use the sotfware, preparing drawing documentaion, drawing various parts for production, structural parts calculation, participation in the running of the firm in a position of lower and middle management for which our students are prepared and finally practical production of building parts and raising them up. The result of the traineeship spent in a foreign company is to fulfill the given aims as described above and to gain the credits for the particular term.
