Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: Sep 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Our mail goal is to be helpful with our undergraduate BTS students, both “International Trade” and “Manager Assistant”, to complete an internship abroad, at least in a country of the U.E. (See the testimonies gathered in item 11 of the final report). Once again, we have used the whole SMP grants et gave as much as possible to the students, sharing a part of the OM budget towards the SMP. Ms Vilches, a teacher, went to Malte in order to meet our regular partners and prospect new companies which could provide some of our students with internships as more and more students are interested in going there because of lower cost of living (compared to U.K.). Mrs Tourenne and Sanchez had visited TBS in Barcelona and met the Coordinator for staff and student mobility and development. This led to a training course opportunity for one “AM” student who will efficiently put into practice in the field, with Ms Picard, our host. Our single STA should have been used (marketing course) in TBS in September 2016. This plan is postponed for 2016-2017. Thanks to an excellent prepared visit, the two teachers have also visited l’Institut Français d’Espagne and Le lycée Français de Barcelone (LFB). This kind of visits enables our lycée to develop business and human relations with foreign organizations, associations, companies and agencies. Creating that flexible and open network will authorize us to focus on new opportunities and develop our internship policy abroad. LBS is particularly operating with training programmes and housing support. Beyond the institutional interest, our staff do appreciate the human and professional relationships. They are willing to exchange experiences and learn from each other with a view to developing teaching and learning experiences. Last September, as an introduction for first-year International trade cohort, we have spent part of the “OM” to pay for a bus, allowing numerous students and tutors to visit and learn about sea shipping, in the commercial Port of Barcelona.
