Higher education student and staff mobility project

Erasmus+ mobility project developed by the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova (UMFCV) during the academic year 2015/2016 had as main result the achievement of 30 mobilities, out of which 27 student mobilities (17 study mobilities and 10 placement mobilities) and 3 staff mobilities (1 mobility for teaching and 2 mobilities for training). In this way, the quantitative objective to increase the mobilities number during the academic year 2015/2016 comparing with the academic year 2014/2015 was achieved (30 mobilities during the 2015/2016 year comparing with 29 mobilities during the 2014/2015 academic year). At the same time, during the academic year 2015/2016 we have an increase of the achieved mobilities number (30) comparing with the planned mobilities number stipulated in the grant agreement (25). From the quality point of view, through the achieved Erasmus mobilities, the UMFCV intensified its international activity, increased the number of international partners from the academic environment and identified more international collaboration opportunities. The study and placement mobilities were achieved by the bachelor students from the medicine and pharmacy faculties of the UMFCV. The teaching mobility was achieved by a lecturer from the faculty of medicine. The training mobilities were achieved by 2 persons from the administrative staff of the university. The placement mobilities had an average duration of 2.15 months, and the study mobilities had an acerage duration of 5.41 months. The teaching mobility duration was of 4 days, while the training mobilities' duration was of 5 days. The main benefit of students mobilities was the increase of medical knowledge, as well as of their skills of working in an international environment. For teaching and training mobilities of the academic staff, the main benefit was the exchange of experience with colleagues from other countries, as well as the perfecting of communication skills in a foreign language.
