Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

One of the most important goals of Jan Amos Komenski State School of Higher Vocational Education in Leszno for years 2014-2020 is increasing the mobility of students, teaching staff, and activation of partnership activities in the field of international cooperation. A key factor for implementation above mentioned objectives is the ERASMUS+ Programme, which is an excellent tool to build a real international cooperation between PWSZ Leszno and its partners from: Austria, Croatia, Finland, Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, and Hungary. The originally signed grant agreement No. 2014-1-PL01-KA103-000050 assumes implementation of 23 mobilities (4SMS, 10SMP, 4STA, 5STT), which thanks to the efforts of the ERASMUS+ Coordinator , and good will of National Agency has been increased by Amendment No. 2 to 29 mobilities (6SMS , 14SMP, 5STA, 4STT). PWSZ LESZNO has almost fully realized plan founded with a result of 28 mobilities (6 SMS, 12SMP, 5STA, 5STT). Two student`s mobilities for practice SMP has missed to achieve the assumed total mobility plan, but what is worth emphasizing PWSZ LESZNO has managed to organize one extra employee mobility for training purposes. Among the outgoing students, dominates people from villages and small towns, to whom ERASMUS+ Programme is often the only chance to go abroad for studies or great help in the organization of foreign practice. Among the students participating in mobility SM We can observe the advantage of women who took part in 11 of 18 SM mobility. Due to the fact that State Schools of Higher Vocational Education are higher education institution with practical profile in PWSZ LESZNO students are more interested to go for SMP mobility instead of mobilities for studies SMS. What is more, during the implementation of the project Erasmus+ Coordinator has led numerous promotional activities among students, such as: - Presentation of Erasmus+ Programme on lectures, - Organizing interesting lectures and exercises with invited foreign lecturers from partner institutions, - Prepared information stand about Erasmus+ Programme on university job fair, - Presentations of students - participants of Erasmus and Erasmus+ programmes about their stay for foreign studies or practice, to encourage participation in the Program Erasmus +. Taken efforts have a measurable effect in the great number of application forms, which were twice more bigger than the amount of held funds. That also has allowed for a good selection in order to fine the best candidates to go for a Erasmus+ mobility. Among the majority of outgoing lecturers, PWSZ Leszno is the main or the only place of employment. They also perfectly speak foreign languages and for them taking teaching or training mobilities is part of their academic or profession career. The university has completed the same number of STA and STT mobilities - each 5 trips. During the implementation of project 2014-1-PL01-KA103-000050 PWSZ LESZNO has managed to sign agreements with new partner institutions: - Mondragon University, Eskoriatza (Spain) - partner for philology studies, - University College of Management and Design Aspira, Split (Croatia) - partner for tourism and physical education, - TAMK University of Applied Sciences, Tampere (Finland) - partner for the mechanics and the Department of Foreign Languages Furthermore the mobility carried out under the project 2014-1-PL01-KA103-000050 has been an incentive for medium- and long-term projects / activities like: - Preparation of the Erasmus + Key Action2 application with Saxion University of Applied Sciences Enschede (Netherlands) "The European Happy Research Exchange Program Part 1: European Collaboration in higher education for a modern and entrepreneurial Social Work Curriculum" - The establishment with University of Dunaújváros (Hungary) - a joint international scientific journal called "LE-DU" - Preparation of the Polish-Dutch research project with Saxion University of Applied Sciences Enschede (Netherlands) for Dutch company TKH , which has its manufacturing facilities in Leszno and at the suburbs of Enschede, - Preparation by PWSZ Leszno and Hochschule Hannover (Germany) joint offer for educational activities during the summer holidays "Summer School", - An increase in the offer of postgraduate studies and courses in the field of bilingualism - as the effect of training mobilities of lecturers from the Institute of Applied Linguistics
