Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Sep 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project consisted of performing the "Training at work" module in companies of the Italian city of Brescia. It was proposed as an extension of the ones that the Institution has been developing since 2009 Call in Lifelong Learning Programme. The project enabled two students from higher-level vocational training (Automotion; Administration and Finance) to perform their "Training at work" module (three months) in companies in the city of Brescia (Italy). The project was carried out on a clear division of tasks and activities among the partners and participants: - the applicant, who handled all the organization and planning, especially the selection of participants, their linguistic and cultural preparation (via OLS), and all aspects related to logistics and documentation. The heads of vocational studies were responsible for it. - the host partners, who joined the project later, and were companies adapted to the participant's profile. They ensured that the training agreement previously adopted was totally accomplished. The instructor of the company was responsible for it . - Participating students, who had to follow the provided linguistic and cultural preparation and fulfill all tasks previously settled in the training agreement. The needs expressed in the project were basically: 1) For the participants: -Reaching the learning results of "Training at Work" module set in the curriculum of every training cycle. -Learning to fend for themselves in a different geographical, cultural and linguistic environment. 2) For the institution: -Improving cooperation between institutions and companies across Europe. -Improving recognition of qualifications at European level, giving full effect to the mobility as "Training at work" module. The main objectives and expected outcome were to satisfy the needs set out above. The expected impact for the institution was twofold: firstly, it helped the students to strive to get better marks in first grade and to behave in a mature and responsible manner, as it has been proved in projects implemented earlier, thus they will be more likely to be beneficiaries of a mobility grant. In addition, the project has allowed to continue the internationalization process of the institution, which is one of the objectives of its long-term strategy.
