Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The academic year 2014-2015 can be considered as transistional period when a new Erasmus+ programme was introduced bringing organizational, structural, management and financial changes. This obliged us to review our internal management procedures with regards to mobility issues within a new european prorgamme framework. Furthermore, the International relations department of our institution having known the organizational changes the same year (the service centralization under the Direction of International Relations of INSEEC Group which our school belongs to), it was necessary to set up new procedures in accordance with new Eramus+ prorgamme's requirements and regulations. The Erasmus program being, since the very beginning, one of the main and assistant tools/instruments used in the achievement of our international strategy goals valid for European cooperation in the field of the higher education, we concentrated our efforts in the realization of the following objectives: - to know better the new Erasmus+ programme and to adapt a qualitative approach to the elaboration of new procedures; - to be formed for the use of new tools implemented at the European level (OLS and Mobility Tool); - to make sensitive and to involve into the program the various actors concerned by the programme (the mobility participants - student and staff, incoming and outgoing; the staff from various services - international relations, company relations, study department, accountancy, direction; institutional partner bodies - institutions of higher education, companies/businesses, institutions at local, regional and national level); - to maintain student mobility figures in comparison with those from over the past years and with regard to the new Erasmus regulations in force; - to try to encourage and to develop staff mobility; - to initiate new forms of collaboration with the partners in accordance with the objectives of our international strategy declared in the Erasmus Charter. The period of mobility abroad (studies / internship) being compulsory ans implemented in the regular curriculum during the third (for study mobility) and thr second year of studies (for internships), we mainly realized the student mobility activities. The mobility figures do show a significant progress in comparison with the results achieved over the past years (especially for placements/internships mobility) estimated in the Erasmus intermediate report. The participants' profile remains a student wishing to get an academic or professional experience abroad aiming to: - Be able to put into practice already acquired hard and soft skills as well as to get new competences (linguistic, academic knowledge and personal development skills); - Confront oneself with the new way of working and teaching methods; - Discover the functioning inside an international company and to get know a new job market in order to increase one's own employability. We were not unfortunately able to realize staff mobility activities under this project due to mobility cancellation. The results we achieved within this project can be analysed basing on the impact produced by various types of mobility: - the student mobility: we notice a strong students' satisfaction of the experience carried out with the academic results achieved rather very satisfactory (courses validated, credits acquired, the improvement of language skills, acquisition of the social and cultural knowledge as well as the personal skills development). - the sending institution: we strengthened the links with the long-term transnational institution partners with the aim of considering new forms of collaboration and of injecting of the innovative methods in the regular program; we had to review the modus operandi and communication as well as mobility procedures; - The third-party institution partners: Erasmus programme changes (especially the financial issues) made us become aware of the potential and the constraints in the collaboration with institutions at regional level (Regional co-financing of international mobility).
