Background of the Project: DTU is a globally recognized and leading technical university with a strong focus on education, research and innovation in an international context. DTU offers degrees at bachelor, master and Ph.d. level. DTU have many qualified students, researchers and staff members, who will seek international opportunities in order to improve their capabilities and employability. DTU's internationalization strategy is implemented through international activities such as research cooperation, student mobility, recruitment of internationational full degree students, strategic alliances and partnerships encompassing collaboration within research, education and innovation.Objectives: The objective is to maintain DTU's position as a globally recognised and leading technical university with a strong focus on education, research and innovation in an international context. Furthermore, the objective is to strenghten and increase student and staff mobility, traineeships, international collaboration within research, education and innovation for the benefit of DTU, researchers, admistrative staff and students.Description of undertaken activities: The organization and implementation of Erasmus mobility is handled by the DTU's International Affairs Office. International Affaris is in charge of a variety of tasks, such as the admission process for international students (full degree/Exchange students), promotion of Erasmus possibilities and counselling and administration of outgoing DTU students, staff and faculty members. Moreover, the office administers scholarships and stipends (incl. Erasmus), housing for incoming students, orientation and integration activities for incoming students. Additionally, International Affairs is in charge of the management and revision of agreements. DTU International Affairs Work in close cooperation with DTU's Research and International Relations Office, who is in charge of DTU's strategic alliances. The close relationship between the two offices enables students, staff and faculty to benefit from these alliances in relation to networking, teaching, exchange, etc. DTU International Affairs also manages the DTU Travel Report functionality, and makes sure that the reports are available for students.Result and Impact attained: The result is an increased number of outgoing students with a greater chance of employability, and an ongoing focus on optimizing the process surrounding the administration of international activities. The DTU organization successively expands it's capacity to handle high volumes of students, staff and faculty, who desire an international experience.
