Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Sep 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The Project has sucessfully been achieved in as much as the invovled participants from DK ARHUS26 have completed their activities. DK ARHUS26 has a strategic approach to its participation in the Project in offering international possibilities to its students and staff that will enable them to add value to their current studies (students) or current work (staff). For example, DK ARHUS26 will increase attainment levels to provide the graduates and researchers Europe needs by offering education of a very high standard. Participation in the Project and thus our opportunity to let students engage in the various international activities that it offers meets the requirement from students for adding valuable international features to their education, which are necessary in an ever more competitive labour market. For students' activities (mobilities for traineeship as well as mobilities for study) new as well as existing partners have been in use. This is in line with DK ARHUS26's strategy to maintain existing valuable partnerships as well as constantly generating new partnerships that will be of future value to participants from DK ARHUS26. Students participated in the Project from a broad variety of the educational programmes offered by DK ARHUS26. In total, 13 educational programmes out of approximately 22 participated in either mobilities for traineeship or mobilities for study which proves to show that the Project has a very broad impact and attraction across various educational programmes. In particular, students in traineeships engaged in activities with SMEs across Europe which is in line with the ambition and strategic approach from DK ARHUS26 in order to connect SMEs and students to the benefit of both parties. For teachers' activities, staff mobility for teaching took place with a number of partner universities where one significant result of this is the present development of a double degree between DK ARHUS26 and NL S-GRAVE37 which will be implemented in the year 2017 to the benefit of students from both HEIs. In addition the the double degree, DK ARHUS26 teaching staff benefited from their mobilities for teaching by sharing knowledge as well as teaching styles with their foreign colleagues. Finally, teaching staff undertook various training sessions which was in part funded by staff mobility for training funds. This allows participants to remain continually updated within their field of expertise which will in the end be of benefit of their students at the home institution.
