Higher education student and staff mobility project

The implemented project was carried out as a follow-up activity for successful projects in the past and it allowed continuation in implementation of the internationalisation strategy of CARITAS - College of Social Work Olomouc, exchange of experience, innovation transfer and capacities development in social and humanitarian work education, strengthening intersectoral partner networks and it contributed to European dimension in involved organizations in the field. The project of educational mobilities Erasmus+ is one of the tools which we utilise for quality improvement of the study programmes, support for the students in terms of acquiring new competencies and increasing their employability. It contributes to the professional development of employees and through this also to the development of CARITAS - College of Social Work Olomouc, its partner ogranizations and social reality influenced by them. In the study programmes offered and all activities of the institution, the emphasis is put on the cooperation with practitioners. Practical education comprises one third of the curriculum and the College is active in cooperation with other partner organizations in real projects in the field. The project enabled development of capacities of students as well as employees and thus contributes to the general enhacement of the quality of study programmes and employability of the alumni. All activites and mobilities are carefully planned with regards to the professional development of students and employees as well as with regards to the strategy of the College and its partners. One of the outputs is implementation of new procedures in the social organizations in the Czech Republic as a result of innovation transfer. One of the project goals was to sustain long-term partnerships as well as to establish new ones in order to create wide variety of hosting organizations for field placements of the students, invite guest speakers, implement innovations from abroad and foster the intersectoral network fruitful for all partners. Participants of the mobilities are equipped with new professional knowledge and skills, they are acquired with culture and socioeconomic reality of the hosting country. The participants have increased their language competencies as a tool for further inspiration from foreign resources and through consultations with local organizations and facilitation of contacts with relevant foreign organizations they contribute to the quality improvement of social services in the Czech Republic and implementation of European social policy priorities. Within the project there were organized 14 mobilities in total to France, Spain, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Malta, Slovakia, Germany, Belgium, United Kingdom and from Spain. Participants are thoroughly and transparently selected with regards to above mentioned strategies and objectives and with regards to the efficiency as well as effectiveness which is increased by long preparation period, communication about the objectives of each mobility and engagement of the participants in the projects prior to and after the mobility.
