Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

INS HEA, a national higher education institute since December 31st, 2005 is ending its transformation phase. As an institute providing vocational training for teachers employed by the Ministry of National Education, it now also provides university degrees. It takes part in various reflection groups in France in relation to the Law of February 11th, 2005 on equality of opportunities and rights, full participation and citizenship of disabled persons, and in Europe within the European Agency for special needs and inclusive education. This commitment has led INS HEA to offer new training sessions in the context of the European policies (Amsterdam Treaty, 1997, Charter of EU fundamental rights, 2000) and international policies (European convention on the rights of disabled persons, 2008). Our area of competencies is in line with a European reflection, not only on education but also on the social and professional inclusion of persons with special needs. The Institute develops cooperation and exchange activities as well as a partnership strategy in Europe and more recently internationally (Russia, Lebanon, Haiti, Brazil,….) In 2011, INS HEA’s first Institute’s project was based on : - The development of a research policy, training offer and production of resources in the field of higher education and research ; - Strengthening the international dimension of the Institute by developing a clearly stated international strategy. Furthermore, since October 2012, INS HEA has had a research group on disability, accessibility and educational practices (Grhapes-EA 7287) accredited by the ministry of higher education and research. The research team welcomes postgraduates in sociology, psychology and social sciences to carry out research about accessibility and special needs. In 2015, INS HEA became a member of UPL (Université Paris Lumière). In 2014, in order to carry out its missions, our Institute was granted the Erasmus Charter (for the period 2014-2016). This two-year period project (2014-2016) is the first Erasmus mobility project for Higher education conducted by our Institute. The charter had many objectives: - Reinforcing our European partnerships ; - Developing our teaching mobilities and our training mobilities for students; - Promoting staff mobilities within our Institute ; - Improving our staff’s level of English. These objectives were achieved: - 9 inter-institutional agreements were signed ; - 7 teaching mobilities were carried out and 3 training mobilities for students were organised for our Master’s students in Disability, inclusive practices, accessibility and support. Amongst these 3 students, one of them is disabled ; - 7 staff mobilities were organised, 6 of which contributed to improving the staff’s level of English.
