Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Sep 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

>>Context and precedents of the Project This project continues with the long experience of IES La Guancha promoting and managing projects of mobility in the LLP/Erasmus, now in the new Erasmus+ programme. The model established for the project is similar to the one developed during the LLP stage. That is, the mobilities will take place during the training period related to the FCT module, giving the students the opportunity to make their training practices in enterprises of the EU. However, this year for the first time we have carried out a mobility that was done out of the mobility period. That was thanks to the possibility that offers the programme Erasmus+ for those students who have been graduated recently. So, a student made the training practices in an enterprise of the winemaking sector. It was in Paterno di Avezzano (Italy) and the student got excellent professional and personal results. >>Goals These are the specific goals of the project: -Improvement of the professional and personal training of the students. -To give the students the possibility to complete their academic training doing the module of Training in Working Centers (FCT) in enterprises of countries in the EU, recognising and getting accredited with the procedures established by the center of origin. -Improvement of the professional/personal training of the teachers of institutions participating in this kind of projects, with the acquisition of new professional competences by means of the exchange of experiences, knowledges and procedures. -Provide the students/teachers with the possibility to know the economic, cultural and social environment of the reception countries. -Improvement of the linguistic competence. -To support the international working mobility of our students/teachers. We can confirm that we got all these goals after analysing the results. >> Number and profile of the participants We carried out two types of mobilities: -Mobilities of students: The participants were seven students of High Level Vocational Training who studied Audiovisual Production, Image and Sound and Winemaking. All of them did the mobility during the FCT period, except for the student of Winemaking who did it in the category of post-graduated. The reception countries were Germany and Italy. Five of the students got the European finance and two students participated with “Beca cero” (“Zero Scholarship”) -Mobilities of staff A teacher of the Department of Electricity and Electronics who is also the coordinator of the European projects, participated in the training mobility (Job shadowing) visiting the centre of professional training Adolf-Kolping-Berufskolleg in Kerpen-Horrem (Germany) >>Description of the activities carried out -Mobility of students All the students participating in the project did their training practices in enterprises of the reception country during a two-months period. They did tasks related to their branches, that is, TV camera operator, news edition, publicity edition, news realization, edition of contents on social-web networks, making photos and editing, video recording/editing, audio recording/editing, lighting management for video recording, sound system maintenance, calibration and monitoring of sound systems, stage assistant on sound systems, stage assistant of lighting systems, wine and wort treatments, vineyards treatments, bottling and packaging, maintenance of machinery. -Mobility of teachers During their three-days stay, these are the main activities they carried out: guided tour at the center, meeting with teachers and the responsible for the development of European projects, periods of classroom observation, cultural visits in the region. The results and impact on the educational community of IES La Guancha are evident. For instance, the number of applications to participate in the Erasmus+ project during the period 2015-2016 has markedly increased. Moreover, the number of applications is higher than the number of vacancies with European finance available. The participation of students who did the last mobility in the informative talk of the Erasmus+ project 2015-16 has undoubtedly contributed to the increasing number of applications since they have talked about their experiences during the mobility. We expect that the number of vacancies increases for next years. On the one hand, for the positive experiences of the students participating in the project and, on the other hand, for the meaningful improvement of the economic financing. We also expect an increasing participation of teachers for next mobilities when teachers coming from the mobility encourage other teachers and talk to the staff meeting.
