Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Sep 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

In the ESAD Valencia the number of students per class is 14, it’s for this raison that our mobility is not as large as in bigger Institutions. Our course catalogue doesn’t include traineeship period, so our student mobility is only SMS. Our aim in 2014-2015 was to continue with outgoing and incoming student mobility, to carry out for the first time some teacher mobility and to increase the number of partners. We carried out mobility with four Institutions: Escola Superior de Música y Artes del Espectáculo de Oporto, Portugal (Instituto Politécnico de Oporto), Coventry University, United Kingdom, Escola de Teatro e Cinema de Lisboa, Portugal (Instituto Politécnico de Lisboa) and the University of applied sciences of Ottersberg, Germany. During the application period, the ESADV received two applications of students registered in the 4th year of the Acting speciality. Both of them carried out their Erasmus mobility in the Coventry University for the full year and with beca zero. The ESADV also received two students SMS, one during the first semester, from the Escola Superior de Música y Artes del Espectáculo de Oporto, who attended classes in the 4th year of Directing and in the final 4th year project of Acting. The other student from the University of Applied Sciences of Ottersberg carried out her mobility period during the second semester and attended second-year Directing classes and some Acting subjects. For the first time since our participation in the previous Erasmus program, we have carried out a staff training mobility in the Escola de Teatro e Cinema de Lisboa. This teacher mobility had a double aim, on the one hand, to attend working sessions with other teachers from the host Institution in order to exchange academic methodologies and programs, and on the other hand, to get to know their integration Erasmus student program. According to participants, all the mobility results have been really satisfactory. Our outgoing students were totally integrated in the daily life of the host University. They obtained good academic results and thanks to that, they could participate in theater projects performed inside and outside the University. Both of them could also improve outstandingly their English level. As they started mobility in September 2014, they were not allowed to use any OLS licence. At the beginning of the mobility period, incoming students had some language difficulties but they improved their level little by little, firstly, because they could attend Spanish classes organized by the ESADV and secondly, due to the support of the students and teachers of the ESADV. Thus, they could participate actively in all the theater projects carried out. Moreover, teaching mobility has permitted the opening-up of new ways of communication with a partner Institution. Apart from sharing knowledge and experiences, carrying out this mobility has allowed us to work on the development of all the necessary processes for the execution, recognition and spreading of this kind of mobility. All the participants have received total recognition of their mobility and they have been awarded of credits and hours of working. The ESADV has made possible the exchange and spreading of information between participants and the academic community. The publication in our web and social media of information, pictures and videos of some activities and theater projects carried out during the mobility period, has allowed us to spread the results outside our Institution. Nowadays, the ESADV is hardly working in a new web page to make possible a greater and better spreading of mobility results. Moreover, we have also been able to get know our Institution abroad and to stablish professional and personal bonds, which will have a great mark in the future of participants and in the profile of our Institution and consequently in the future students. Our Academic Community considers the more and more important to work using foreign languages and to be in touch with other ways of working, as well as the acquisition and improvement of new personal and professional competences acquired while participating in mobility projects.
