This is a higher education student and staff mobility project implemented in all our Short Cycles studies which are two degrees integrated in VET studies : Child Care and Education, and Social Integration Short Cycles. This project consists of student mobilities for training (SMT) and staff and teacher training mobilities (STT) in different European geographical areas such as Italy, France and UK. Background of the project: The institution has six-year previous experience in HE Europe funded mobility activities. The project is intended as the best way to give continuity to an European student and teacher training mobility experience which started under Erasmus Life-Long Learning Programme (LLP) 2007-2013 in 2008. The institution has been participating in student mobilities since then.In 2013 the institution started a new activity under the Erasmus LLP Programme: Erasmus staff trainings because we were awarded with the Erasmus Extended University Charther 2013-2014 which allowed us to implement this new mobility action. The institution has achieved to offer quality mobility through host companies and organizations related to our academic profile in Child Care and Education and Social Integration and also related to our teacher's areas of teaching: SocioCultural and Community Services and Occupational Training and Guidance at Work thanks to this Erasmus+ project. Students and teachers carry out work experience placements as part of their degree and job shadowing activities for training in another European country of their choice in order to improve their learning performance in a real work environment, their employability and career prospects and foster foreign language competences. The objectives proposed for our students are competency-based , such as: Cooperate and participate in the day nursery school or the social centre for elderly people with a professional approach; To be active and integrated within the team work in social and child care; To be involved in planning and implementing activities according to methods, spaces, schedule, materials, resources in order to promote holistic child development or social welfare for the elderly; Understand and adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to their role and the safe running of the setting; Learn from effective and good practices in the host companies and organisations. There have been five participants from our institution. One male junior teacher from Community and Sociocultural Services Department, one female intermediate teacher from Occupational Training and Guidance at Work Department, one female student from Child Care and Education short cycle and two male and female students from Social Integration short cycle. The whole Higher Education section can benefit whether directly or indirectly from the opportunities afforded by this Erasmus+ project.
