Higher education student and staff mobility project

The Center of Studies Ceinmark, with an experience of more than 25 years in the private educational sector in Cantabria, began its Erasmus project in the call of 2013. In spite of not having students interested at the time, the training center proposed to introduce the Erasmus programme for higher education in order to improve language training and the employability of its students. The Center of Studies Ceinmark is located in Santander, the capital of the province of Cantabria. Its location and its seaport make into trade and tourism with France, the United Kingdom and Ireland in the major centres of business. As the result of the analysis of our closest environment within the European Union has emerged our Erasmus project: creating links with organizations based in these countries in order to favour the employability of our students and to strengthen business and labour links with our area of influence. From the time of the grant of the Erasmus Charter, the Centre turned in spreading the project, in the year 2014 started the first mobility ; due to the success of this first initiative, the interest of students has increased substantially and we expect a gradual increase in applications and mobility in the coming years. Goals The Center of Studies Ceinmark pursued the following objectives with this project in 2014: - to Improve employability and professional and linguistic skills of the participants - to spread the program between our present and future students - to create and to strengthen links with companies and organizations in the European Union. -to encourage mobility culture in the European Union - to implement working methods of the host countries through the knowledge acquired thanks to the contact with companies in destination countries - to learn what complementary skills must be worked with our students in order to their training enable them to work in a global environment. Number and profile of participants In this call mobility was held with the following characteristics: - Higher Level Training Course on Administration and Finance - High level of English - High proficiency in accounting and financial management - Outstanding Record Description of the activities carried out A student participated in an Erasmus programme in an Irish company based in the city of Cork. It was a restaurant with a large turnover, and the student was Deputy Chief Financial Officer during her stay, performing the following functions: ? Monitoring budgets to control spending. ? Supporting the area of marketing and advertising. ? Monitoring schedules and shifts ? Supporting the organization inside and outside the restaurant. ? Cost analysis. ? Work with special problems assigned by the owner. ? Procurement Management ? Customer Management In what it concerns to the activities undertaken by the center include: ? Dialogue with the Sepie and other partners of the Erasmus program ? Dialogue with companies specialized in sending students to exchange programs ? Analysis of business in the country of destination to find the most appropriate profile of the student ? thorough preparation for the program control as well as all the details during its execution ? Communication and dissemination of the program Results and impact obtained and expected long-term benefits. The results were highly satisfactory for our first participation in the program - It has been managed to implement the program and make it widely known to all students - Ties have been established with organizations that allow the program survives in time with guarantees - It has been able to increase interest in the program 200% and is predicted to grow at similar progression in the coming years In the long term, these results allow us to: - Extend our participation in the program to other levels of study - Involve more staff and resources
