Higher education student and staff mobility project

The proyect has been developed between our High School and companies in Ireland in the fileds of computer sciend a and marketing and commercial management and marketing. the main objective is to make the "on the job" module thst id psrt of their studies, but also to practice a foreign language, in this case English, know a new culture, meet people, visit new places and make friends. And the final objective is that the students can find a job. We made a mobility of a teacher in order to work in a company for 5 days so that could observe how a compny of a different company works. The number of the participants where 7 students and one teacher. The students where 2 females and 5 males. Ages between 20 and 33 years old. The girls made the practices in a hardware store. The boys worked in development companies of websites. Two of them are now working there. Activities that the girls made to obtain the following competences: 1. Obtaining, processing and organising information in market research. 2. Developing basic information for the definition of marketing policies and controlling advertising action. 3. Managing the process of business logistics. 4. Planning and directing the merchandising actions in the point of sale. 5. Performing the operations of sale and purchase of products and/or services. Activities that the boys made to obtain the following competences: 1.Selects job opportunities, identifying the different possibilities of getting back into the world of work, and the alternatives of lifelong learning. 2.Applies labour and ethic habits in his/her professional activity according to the characteristics of the job position and the procedures established by the company. 3.Organises work to be carried out, identifying allocated tasks through project planning and interpreting specific documentation. 4.Manages and uses computer systems and development environments, assessing their requirements and characteristics according to purpose of use. 5.Participates in the development of data access applications planning the database structure and assessing the reach and repercussion of transactions. 6.Intervenes in the development of games, multimedia applications and mobile devices applications using specific tools and languages and complying with the established requirements and specifications. 7.Collaborates in the development and test of multiplatform applications, from the interface to the process and services programming, including packing and distribution, as well as associated help and documentation. 8.Participates in the process of deployment and adaptation of resource management systems and enterprise planning (ERP-CRM) analysing their characteristics and assessing changes. The results where that all of them had a great expirience, improved their English level , made ​​friends and learned another European culture and visit new places. Two of that have now a job in Dublin.
