Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Jun 1, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

We applied the project for the academic year of 2014-15. The mobility activities under the project started with the announcement on the web page to make a call for the participants of the project. After the certain days of announcement on the web page, the participants were chosen according to the criteria mentioned on the Erasmus programme guide book. Since our objective is to send some more students in order to provide the students international education environment we chose enough students to the mobility programme, they were going to be beneficiaries for the above mentioned mobility activity and we also chose teaching staff especially for the new departments on the faculties in order to increase our bilateral agreement numbers to be more international. In total 160 participants were chosen for the programme along with the substitute students and staff. 89 out of 160 staff and students were the beneficiaries of the programme. The number of academic staff were 16 and for the training staff were 5, in total 21 staff have been in the mobility programmes under Erasmus+ project. The academic staff started new projects when they came back from the partner countries. They helped us find new partners. We certainly believe that we will have a chance of welcoming new students at our university with the help of the new bilateral agreements. Our staff who were abroad for the training learned new methods and systems of the university work flow when they visited and took some education at the partner university abroad. They could apply and adapt new information to the systems easily now. As a result , when we talked to the staff we learned that they felt more international and more brave now while giving courses to the foreign students. Our aim was to make them more international so we reached our target now. They would feel more comfort while giving courses to the international students who are incomers any more. The staff for training will easily have a journey to another counry on their own now too. As for the students in total we sent 69 students to another universities for the education and to the companies or factories or etc.. for the training. They now feel more brave to work abroad or to carry out their studies abroad. As far as we have learned two of them started new jobs abroad since they became graduate after their mobility programme. This was also one of our aim so we reached our target again. We expect our students to be more international, more mobile and motivated to find jobs or work abroad. In the longer term our graduates will have a chance of studying abroad in order to carry out their graduate studies or they can work abroad easily or they can find more qualified jobs in our country as well in the future by the help of the programme.
