Higher education student and staff mobility project

An Erasmus+ mobility project (2014-1-PL01-KA103-001532) was beeing implemented between Jun 2014 and September 2015 by Gdansk University of Physical Education and Sport (AWFiS) and was dedicated to students and employees. The university organized 24 mobilities for outgoing students and employees, including 3 mobilities from local UE grants - ?PO WER? program in following categories: SMS-8, SMP-7, STA-4, STT-5. Mobilities for incoming students and employees were organized in following categories: SMS-17, STT-1. The main goal for project was to organize outgoing and incoming mobilities with respect to: - support learners in the acquisition of competences and improving their personal development; - enhance the participants? foreign languages competences; - raise participants? awareness and understanding of other cultures and countries. The main goal for the University was: - to increase the international character, attractiveness and international dimension of University; - to build professional relationships with different stakeholders in the field of education and training; - to ensure a better recognition of competences gained through the learning periods abroad. All actions were organized according to Erasmus+, ESP, ECHE standards with respect to internal university policy. Goals were achieved. The University has encourage students and staff from three faculties: Tourism and Recreation, Rehabilitation and Kinesiology, Physical Education to take part in the program. Students group was represented by bachelor and master students from full-time studies. Employees group was represented by scientists, didactics, and administration staff. The person directly responsible for project 2014/KA103 was Institutional Erasmus Coordinator, who organized Erasmus Office at the University. Erasmus Office achieved following goals and results: - organization of 24 outgoing mobilities; - organization of 18 incoming mobilities; - 33 bilateral agreements with european universities in following mobility period: 2014-2020; - bilateral agreements in all area of studies offered in AWFiS; - cooperation with foreign partners from UE, who offered trainings programs; - long-term agreement between AWFiS and Split University in Croatia; - increase of internal standards for incoming and outgoing mobilities in accordance with Erasmus+, ESP, ECHE standards; - offering help with finding trainings programs for incoming students (1 SMP agreement for SMP mobility in academic year 2015/2016);- successful and effective promotional campaign for Erasmus+ mobilities, that guaranteed realization of all SMS mobilities for 2014/KA103 project and guaranteed mobilities for 2015/KA103 project; - increase the number of students and employees, that have international experience in professional experience, what affects on increase of personal competences; - better attractiveness of educational offer of AWFiS; - better professional competences of staff what affects the quality of offered education and administration service; - increase of knowledge in academic community about Erasmus+ Programme. Project had also an important influence on high school graduates, interested in continuing their education on one of the specialization offered at the university. Erasmus+ offer was one of the factor affecting on choosing the university. Increase of the mobilities raised the role of AWFiS as a international partner. It was noted that university received more applications from foreign students than in last years. STA and STT mobilities affected on increase the intensity of realized projects between partners universities in Erasmus+ Program.
