• Context and background of the project Joaquín Costa institute is a perfect setting to learn viticulture and winemaking , surrounded by vineyards. It is based in Cariñena, at only 47 km from Zaragoza, (Spain). Since 2002 offers a complete training on all aspects of wine. Since 2010 we added olive oil in our educational project. The offer materializes in two training cycles: Superior Degree in Viticulture and Winemaking Intermediate Cycle dedicated to Elaboration of Olive Oils and Wines. The Department of Food Industries - Oenology offers its facilities for students who wish to conduct their own wine making. Four years ago it was decided to apply for The Erasmus Charter for Higher Education 2014-2020 and promote the internationalization of the center, making nobilities of students as many vocational training centers of our region. • Objectives of the center regarding European projects: 1. Modernization and internationalization of the center. 2.. Develop a network of contacts in European wineries where to send our trainees. 3. At least two students each year make mobility, making FCT in European wineries. 4. At least one professor makes mobility each year. 5. Getting lead or participate in a Leonardo Partnership project, related to viticulture or winemaking. • Number and profile of participants It is a project in which there have been three mobilities for practices of students and a teacher, all of higher education, • Description of the activities carried out Two mobilities have been in French wineries and two, (One of a teacher) in Italian wineries . They have seen different aspects of production and quality control of wines and vineyard management. One was performed the last course 2014- 15 and the other three mobilities during this course 2015-16. • Results and impact obtained and expected long-term benefits, especially for our students. 1. We have motivated our students to perfect knowledge of foreign languages. 2. Our students have lost their fear and have learned to move around the world, and to seek opportunities beyond the borders of their own country. 3. Students are more aware that we are in a globalized world economy and with the challenge of achieving a genuine single European market . 4. We have improved the preparation of our students and that will help them be more productive in the companies they subsequently develop their work, and that will mean them greater opportunities to find a job. 5. They have seen new ideas to help them create their own business if they wish. 6. They may easily adapted to different environments. 7. They have learned to relate better with others in the work environment, better accepting multiculturalism. 8. They are better able to solve problems that arise them by themselves 9. They have had access to other technologies and ways of working that can be imported into our country. 10. We hope we have increased the number of students studying vocational training, and thus reduce dropout rates. 11. Companies that hire these students can benefit from the skills and knowledge that can provide students
