Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

In the contract period 1 June 2014 – 31 May 2016 Reconfirm- TU/e has been executed the first ERASMUS+ Consortium project for Training Mobility. The Consortium was founded in the beginning 90ties under the Comett Programme under the name UETP Zuid-Nederland. Later on the name changed to TU/e-Regional Leonardo Bureau and since January 2015 the Consortium is named RECONFIRM-TU/e. This as the result of a Transfer of Innovation project under the Leonardo da Vinci Programme. The result of the project was that also in Flanders a Consortium was founded, known as Reconfirm-Flanders. Both Consortia work very close together. For example they developed and maintain an administrative support tool. This tool has besides the digital administrative handling from the contracts (from grant applications to final report) also another tool namely a database with traineeship offers. Companies can register their available offers in this themselves. Four partners have been working together for years already within a Consortium structure because they: • Want to have the administrative ‘handling’ of traineeships (from application till final report) in one place, not only because of the saving of costs, but most of all because of the high and stable level of knowledge. • Can shift budgets in an easy way between institutions due to the Consortium structure. • Will find each other also for other relevant issues due to the years of cooperation. • Take profit from the international cooperation of the Consortium within Leo-Net, THE NETWORK for practical support in international mobility for traineeships. Besides the above mentioned the Consortium also has years of experience with projects for graduates, which were open for all students that graduated from a Dutch Higher Education Institution. For this target group the possibility to do an internship abroad after graduating often makes the difference when it comes to finding a job. Until now the Consortium was the only one that served this target group. Despite the fact that within ERASMUS+ the institutions can provide a grant for a traineeship to their alumni themselves, 7 more institutions besides the 4 already mentioned have chosen not to do so and make use of the offer to serve their students within the Consortium. The mobility for traineeships for students still studying was handled by the institutions themselves. This first ERASMUS+ project was accessible for students and graduates from CAH-Vilentum, Design Academy, Tilburg University and TU/e. Furthermore the project was also accessible for graduate students from Groningen University, The Hague University of Applied Sciences, In Holland University of Applied Sciences, Leiden University, Hogeschool van de Kunsten Utrecht, University of Applied Sciences Rotterdam, Twente University. In the very near future the Consortium partners can profit from an online course for (further) development of intercultural skills. The course will be offered to all students that receive a grant from Reconfirm-TU/e. Costs will be paid from the OS budgets within the ERASMUS+ contracts of RECONFIRM-TU/e.
