Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Hotelschool The Hague (HTH) is an international institution with a strategy focussed on 'internationalization'. To further develop the school’s international focus, identity and position, the school concentrate its activities on a limited number of international focus areas as well as intensifying the existing and new collaboration with other (national and international) institutes of higher education, (international) secondary schools, research centers and industry partners. Due to the fact that HTH is a relatively small school and has limited resources, it is vital to seek for additional international partnerships. One way of achieving these international partnerships is to become part of the Erasmus+ program. With these partnerships the objectives of the program can be achieved by creatiing, gaining and sharing of knowledge. The Erasmus+ program at the HTH, in 2014-2/2015-1, consist of 132 participants. Of which 129 participants are students on internship (HE-SMP-P: Student mobility for traineeships between Programme Countries), 1 participant who studies abroad (HE-SMS-P: Student mobility for studies between Programme Countries), 2 staff members who gave lectures abroad (HE-STA-P: Staff mobility for teaching between Programme Countries) and lastly there were no lectures who travelled abroad for training purposes (HE-STT-P: Staff mobility for training between Programme Countries). The 129 HE-SMP-P participants are either students that are on a practical or a management internship. The practical internship participants are all located in 5-star hotels across the participating European countries. The management internship participants are also located across the participating countries occupying management positions for a majority in the service industry.
