Higher education student and staff mobility project

Polytechnic in Pozega (Polytechnic) PIC: 949648916, Erasmus ID cod: HR POZEGA01, conducting the Project in the frame of Erasmus+ (Regulation (EU) No 1288/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 December 2013 establishing 'Erasmus+': the Union programme for education, training, youth and sport) on the ground of the Contract-2014-1-HR01-KA103-000030 is continuing the tradition of participation in LLP since 2009. In conducting this project our main aim is to achieve the goals set by the Strategy of international cooperation of the Polytechnic in Pozega, based on the Europe 2020 Strategy – A Strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth, in accordance to Council conclusions on the modernization of higher education (2011/C 372/09); Council Recommendation of 20 December 2012 on the validation of non-formal and informal learning (2012/C 398/01) Project goals are compatible to the goals (and activities) set by the Strategy of international cooperation of the Polytechnic in Pozega: • Inter-institutional cooperation with international stakeholders • International recognition of study programs, teachers and students • Student and staff mobility increase In accordance to the goals set, the Polytechnic has, in a period of Project implementation (1.6.2014. – 31.5.2016.) for the purposes of the mobility: • Signed 14 new Inter-institutional agreements • Organized 2 Staff Weeks • Conducted 12 incoming staff mobilities • Organized 8 Info days for students and staff with presenting institution partners • Conducted 3 incoming student mobilities for the purpose of SMP • Realized 8 outgoing mobilities (two for the purpose of STA – one Invited staff and six for the purpose of STT – one zero grant) • Conducted 3 outgoing student mobilities for the purpose of SMS (two students from disadvantaged background) • Realized 2 outgoing student mobilities for SMP Outgoing student mobility activities are realized to Germany (SMS), Spain and Poland (SMP). Incoming student mobilities (SMP) are realized from Spain and Poland. The average duration of student mobility is 4 months and overall mobility period amounts 22 months and 25 days. Outgoing staff mobility STA is realized in Germany and Invited staff activity from Slovenia. Outgoing staff mobility STT was realized to Ireland, Spain and Germany. Overall staff mobility period is 56 days. Realized mobility results have fulfilled the goals set by the Strategy of international cooperation of the Polytechnic and raised the presence and reputation of the Erasmus+ mobility program and Polytechnic at local, regional, national and international level. Long-term influence and benefit of the Project can be measured through the creation of new and productive networks of inter-sector cooperation and educational vertical development as well as raising awareness of the multiple benefits brought by mobility activities on local, regional and international level.
