Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: May 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

After obtaining the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education, our school started its mobility venture in the year 2011-2012. Consequently, the Erasmus + Project in our school is still in its initial and developing stage. Given its recent implementation the educational offering is an ongoing process. From the three Degree studies we offer, only one is in the position to render the full educational provision to our visitor students (i.e. the four year plan). Our Institution has few resources regarding the hours which need to be invested in the programme and very limited scope to redress the situation since we are subject to a highly restrictive regulatory regime. The management of this programme depends ultimately on the altruism of the teachers involved. Therefore, in 2014 we abandoned the teacher mobility plan. However our school understands that the Erasmus+ programme is essential for the internationalization, motivation and employability of our students. Our plan is to progressively widen the number of partners with whom to conduct the mobility plan, as well as increasing the interest of our community in learning new languages and consequently carrying out the Erasmus + mobility. At present, our school has only had one partner to perform the SMS mobility plan after deciding not to renew the agreement with a Turkish institution in 2014. Although not in great numbers, in previous years students have travelled with the SMS and SMT mobility plan. We have welcomed students for SMS and teachers to give STA lectures, all of which is very enriching. Currently, our school is only in charge of direct SMS mobilities since SMT´s are managed by a consortium, project number 2014-1-ES01-KA103-002829, through which six students have been sent. It is because of this that only one SMS mobility student has been able to participate in the 2014 project.
