Higher education student and staff mobility project

Project context: The project objective is that students of higher vocational tarining short cycles of IES Puerto de la Cruz - Telesforo Bravo can perform the workplaces training module (FCT) in European companies. Number and profile of participants: Project participants will be higher short cycle students of the school and teachers who teach them. The IES Puerto de la Cruz - Telesforo Bravo has extensive experience in Erasmus + mobilities, participating in projects since 2007. A total of 18 mobilities are performed. 16 mobilities of students for internships and 2 mobilities of teachers for training. The number of students interested in participating in the project was high, 25 students were presented to the selection process for only 13 places. Keep in mind that the school has about 250 students of higher vocational training studies. Description of activities: - Interviews and selection process of participants. - Regular meetings information. - Development of students learning agreement and training program. - Implementation and monitoring practices in a company in a destination country. - Maintenance and updating of the school specific website for European projects Erasmus+ (http://erasmusplus.iespuertodelacruz.es) Methodology: Erasmus+ coordinators, a professor of English and different educational teams, conduct personal interviews for students and cooperate in different activities in the selection process. It is set at least one B1 level in English, except in some cases that will target Italy. Learning agrement and trainig program for the student accordding to the company is approved. The FCT module prior supervision of the plan is evaluated. This document is signed by the responsible person at IES Puerto de la Cruz - Telesforo Bravo and, when the student returns, he delivers signed by the monitor of the destination company who also evaluates the various activities carried out by the student. Results: The main results are improved linguistic skills and personal and professional skills of students. Thus employment opportunities and employment of young participants in the program are increased. The students, once they have returned from their stay in the destination country, and whether it has complied with the training plan, they will have recognized 22 ECTS credits and overcoming professional FCT module. Expected impact: Improving the employability of participants through the acquisition and recognition of new professional, cultural and personal skills. Decreased precarious and temporary, promoting access to the labor market. Long-term benefits: Promote labor mobility in Europe as an alternative to local unemployment. Strengthen ties with other European institutions and companies that increase future collaboration.
