Higher education student and staff mobility project

Key Action Learning Mobility of Individuals, action type Higher education student and staff mobility gave to Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava (AFAD) a unique opportunity for students and staff within a field of international cooperation gaining new skills, knowledge and sharing experience.. By this project, AFAD was aiming and succeed in the strategy of supporting internationalisation agenda and modernisation, specifically the quality of student and staff mobility. During the 2-years lasting period, 24 students participated at Student mobility for traineeship, 49 students participated at Student mobility for studies, 4 staff members participated at Staff mobility for teaching and 1 member of staff participated at Staff mobility for training. To inform students and staff about the possibilities of Erasmus+ mobility, AFAD International Office organises regular Info Seminars, publishes news at the webpage, informs through Information System and uses direct-mailing feeding students and staff. We are supporting and monitoring incoming and outgoing students during all phases of their mobility: before/during/after, by offering consultations. We do also require feedback form from both groups to be able to see how our strategy and process is working and can be improved. Impact of the project: -spreading the word about the academy via the participants brings new partners from all over the world -new formats of cooperation – e.g. joint exhibitions of diploma Works – international promotion and institutional credibility strengthening -bringing national topics to international level, confrontation of view on art from different point of view -interest in exchange mobility is rising -the participants bring fresh air and new approach to their home institutions, -developing new approaches, new values in the individuals who then bring it to their home environment -possibility to compare different systems allows implementing changes and brings new tendencies The activities that were carried out to share the results of the project: -Prieskum – final Works exhibitions open to public -joint exhibitions with partner schools -exhibitions in other countries -Information seminars (min. 2 per year) promoting the E+ Programme, presenting the partnering institutions while students shared their particular experience from the hosting institutions
