Higher education student and staff mobility project
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: Sep 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project intended to expand the activities undertaken under the Erasmus+ mobility programme. There has been a long term challenge at the university for engagement with mobility activities, which this project sought to address. Six members of academic staff undertook mobilities, three participants were junior academic staff and one intermediate academic staff. There were three teaching and three training mobilities. Teaching acitivities included lectures, seminars and meetings to develop joint projects and curriculum. Training activities included job shadowing, knowledge exchange and the development of new partnerships. Results included a one week study visit to Bolton by twenty one part-time students from a Finnish university accompanied by two academic staff; reciprocal visits in November 2015 by two of the partner organisations to further develop discussions on joint projects, and dissemination of benefits of the mobilities across the university through a week long international week, which included six participants from partner institutions and two international participants (non-partner organisations sponsored by the University to attend). Longer term benefits include the consoilidation of current reltionships and development of new relationships, and projects with exisiting partners.
